Quick activities for sales team meetings
1. Strengthen relationships with Ups & Downs
Do you know what motivates your reps? What their meeting preferences are? How about their hopes and dreams? Especially when you work remotely, it's tough to find time to chat about these topics.
Gomada makes it easy by offering pre-built activities like Ups & Downs that help your sales staff get to know each other. Over time, Gomada gets to know your team, recommends ideal activities, and measures how your team is feeling.
You can try Ups & Downs for free using this link.
2. Move your weekly meeting to the end of the day and grab a drink
Sometimes, the best way to connect is still over a drink at the end of the day. Most sales teams we’ve seen like to meet in the morning. Why don’t you switch things up next week, move your meeting to 5 pm and invite everyone to grab a drink?
If your team works in the office (vs. remote/hybrid), consider picking up the tab and treating everyone to a beer, wine, or Shirley Temple. There’s nothing that bonds the team like free drinks.
If you work remotely, meet on your favorite virtual conferencing platform and surprise reps with a drink delivery using services like

While the name suggests a game for kids, we designed Random Fairytales to get your sales team’s creative juices flowing.
Not to mention that they’ll be dying laughing. You’ll have a hard time finding a better start to your day than that. You can try Random Fairytales for free - just sign up and share the link with the team ahead of your meeting.

4. Blow off some steam on Smash Karts
Best for: Leveling the playing field.
There’s not much to say about Smash Karts because it’s awesome and simple. Playing 10 minutes is like a mini vacation:
- Mario-Kart-like gameplay
- Play it with the whole team
- It works in your browser; no signup or download needed

5. Pause and recognize each other’s accomplishments with Appreciation Shower
When the quarter ends, we’re quick to think about what’s next.
When was the last time your team took a moment to appreciate what you’ve been pulling off? (hint: a shoutout on Slack doesn’t count). If your team is focused on meeting their quotas day in and day out, it can cause friction between team members. Giving and receiving recognition is a great way to reset for the next quarter.
With Appreciation Shower, we’ve built a fool-proof activity to share positive feedback. With prompts, note cards, and time-boxing team members, appreciation is easy and comfortable for everyone.
Want to give it a try? Just
- Create a session for free
- Copy the invite link
- Invite your team members
You can read more about Appreciation Shower on the activity detail page.
6. Go with the classics: Sports, dinner, and drinks
I don’t think we’ll need to explain this to you. The Holy Trinity of sales outings reigns as the undefeated champion:
Get your team tickets to a local team’s game, grab dinner together and, of course, provide booze (or Shirley Temples, we don’t judge).
7. Give reps time off and prevent burning out top performers
The following Reddit user seems a little bitter about team building but makes a valid point: Sometimes your team just needs a day off, not more time spent with coworkers.
Consider skipping your quarterly team building and asking your team to spend time with their families, friends, or couch.
Team building games for sales reps
Need even more inspiration for team building activities? Here are five more ideas for all you greedy rascals:
- Play Among Us: You’ll need to play a few rounds to get it, but there’s a reason this game turned into an internet sensation. Play it free.
- Create a meeting bingo: Have every rep create a bingo card before your next meeting and try to anticipate which words will be said.
- Two truths and a lie: If you’ve read about team building, this activity is the deadest horse to beat. But like Among Us, there’s a reason it’s popular. Ask each person to come up with two truths and one lie about themselves, then let everyone vote which one is the lie.
- Play Cards Against Humanity (online): The inappropriate card game is now available online for free. If you work in the office, play it in person.
- Never Have I Ever - Drinking Game: Granted, this may be a terribly inappropriate idea for work. But try to keep the questions professional (“Never have I ever hung up when cold calling”) and take a shot if you’ve done it. It’s a recipe for a good time, right?

Don’t overthink it. “Done” is better than “perfect”
The fact that you’re looking for team building activities shows that you care about your team.
Many teams procrastinate team building because time is tight or because they want to make it perfect.
But steady wins the race: you’re better off doing regular, easy events than relying on just one big outing a year to build better team bonds.
