Track how your team is developing with all-new engagement metrics
In the coming weeks, we’ll be updating our metrics to track and visualize engagement over time. This includes:
- All-new engagement metrics: Understand how your team is doing in Relationships, Satisfaction, Wellbeing, and Personal Growth. We break Relationships, our core metric, down into Familiarity, Recognition, Trust, and Collaboration. All metrics will roll up into an overall Engagement Score.
- Assessment surveys: Regular surveys that assess your team's engagement. This data will translate (among other inputs) into your engagement scores.
- Activity measurement: Incorporating your team’s activity feedback into our measurement system (100% anonymously).
Now to the most important question: What can you do with that? Let's have a look.
Also coming in December: End the year on a high note - Three new activities are coming to Gomada
1. Address team issues before they become a problem
“If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.” This (admittedly over-quoted) statement from Peter Drucker rings truer than ever with remote work and the inability to “feel” how your team is doing.
As remote managers, we need a way to anticipate and address issues, no matter where our team is.
Metrics makes this possible by breaking engagement down into its components, visualizing how you’re trending, and allowing you to take action before team members ‘quit quietly’ and ultimately decide to leave.
2. Run activities that address your team’s greatest needs
Our plan for next year is to match your team’s developments with the right Gomada activities. This will look something like this:
- Recognition score is dipping → run Appreciation Shower
- Familiarity is low → run Ups and Downs
For managers, this means worrying less about how to keep the team engaged. Instead, you'll always know the next activity to run in order to perform at peak levels.
By updating our metrics and measurement system, this becomes possible. For now, you'll have to edit your journey yourself. In the future, Gomada will automatically suggest the right activity based on what your team needs most.
3. Measure Gomada's impact
We'll allow ourselves a small dig. Other activity providers and engagement tools promise the world, but they don’t allow you to track a measurable impact.
With Gomada, you can easily see the ROI by checking your metrics. Boo-yah.
4. Benchmark your team against others on Gomada (coming soon)
As we grow our user base, you'll be able to benchmark your scores against other teams in
- your organization (is this isolated to us, or is the entire company affected?)
- your industry (how do we compare against others in the tech industry?)
- a similar function (how do I compare against other marketing teams?)
This makes metrics more meaningful and allows you to make better decisions based on engagement metrics.
